Ate Douma is Portal Architect at Open Source ECM vendor Hippo in The Netherlands.

Ate is a member of the Apache Software Foundation and PMC member and committer for Apache Portals
(Jetspeed, Pluto, Bridges, etc.) and Apache Wicket.
He also serves as Expert Group member of the java Community Process for JSR-286: Portlet Specification 2.0 and JSR-301: Portlet Bridge Specification for JavaServer Faces.
For the Apache Wicket project, Ate added the transparent Portlet integration support, and he was also the creator of the Apache Portals Struts Bridge.

At Hippo, Ate is primary Software Architect and responsible for integrating JCR (Apache Jackrabbit) based content managment, content aggregation and site navigation transparently with the Apache Jetspeed-2 Enterprise Portal.
